Five people, including two young children, are dead in the North Bay Area following a grisly car crash.
The crash happened at about 5:30 p.m. in Rio Vista. Police say a woman driving a Honda Civic was trying to pass cars on a two-lane highway when she failed to get back into the correct lane.
She slammed head on into a Chevy Silverado carrying four people.
All five victims, none of whom were wearing seatbelts, were passengers in the Honda Civic. The passengers in the Silverado had minor injuries.
Police have not yet released the identity of the deceased.
