Highway 101 Reopens After Closure at Sonoma-Marin County Line

Highway 101 was closed in both directions for about an hour Tuesday night due to dangerous conditions and flooding at the Sonoma and Marin county line, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The freeway was closed about 9 p.m. and was reopened a little after 10 p.m., the CHP said, but traffic was still slow going through the closure area. Drivers taking surface roads between Marin and Sonoma counties were advised to be cautious when navigating the widespread flooding and landslides.

The westbound lanes of Highway 37 also were closed between Lakeville Highway and Highway 101.
