How to Get Tickets to Barack Obama's Inauguration

Bay Area lawmakers are making lists of locals who want to be in Washington, D.C. for the presidential inauguration in January

Although President Barack Obama's inauguration for his second term is not until January, Bay Area legislators are already collecting requests from constituents who hope to attend the ceremony.

Tickets for the 57th presidential inauguration on Jan. 21, 2013, in Washington, D.C., can be requested through local Congressional representatives' websites:

A maximum of two tickets can be requested, and only through the online forms on congressional websites.

Requests will not be accepted by phone or email.

Ticket request links were not yet available on the websites of Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer

A random lottery will be held by Dec. 13 to determine who will receive tickets to the ceremony.

Those seeking more information about the inauguration and how to request tickets can visit the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies' website at www.inaugural.senate.gov/2013/getting-tickets.
