Power Restored in South Bay After Lines Damaged

Power was restored late Sunday to the remaining 110 Silicon Valley Power electric customers affected by an outage near Stevens Creek Road that first began late Saturday night.

The last 110 customers, of more than 2,600 customers (including a few PG&E customers) had their power restored at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday, about two hours sooner than originally forecast.

There actually were several separate outages, the largest of which took place about 11 p.m. Saturday when wind blew construction scaffolding into a power pole and power lines.
