Ice Cream Vendor Knocked Down, Robbed in San Jose Park

A man hawking ice cream in San Jose's Capitol Park on Monday was knocked down and robbed by a man posing as a customer, police said.

The suspect approached the ice cream vendor and asked for ice cream at about 2:35 p.m. Monday, but when the vendor reached into his cart, the robber pushed him over, San Jose police said.

The robber then reached into the vendor's front pocket, took his money and ran away, according to police.

Police have not been able to identify the suspect.
