Tweeted images of 5-alarm fire in Western Addition

Heavy thick smoke is billowing from San Francisco's Western Addition neighborhood Thursday as fire crews respond en masse to a five-story apartment complex.

As many as three buildings are on fire, including an old Victorian apartment complex. No injuries have been reported.

Smoke from the fire is visable from a large portion of the city. One reporter on the scene said he could see the smoke from San Mateo County.

The apartment is near the intersection of Turk and Pierce Street in the pan handle of the City. It was reported 11:53 a.m. and fully engulfed by 12:05 p.m. The fire reached a rare 5th alarm at 12:44 p.m.
