Injured Black-Crowned Herons Rescued

Some black-crowned herons were injured during a tree trimming incident in Oakland. They were taken to the International Bird Rescue Center in Fairfield, California.

Five black-crowned night heron chicks were injured when the tree they were in was trimmed. The chicks, all younger than three weeks old, are in good condition resting in incubators, after one suffered a broken bill and other injuries over the weekend.
