Jews Light Menorahs Around the World For Hanukkah

Hanukkah lasts eight days

It's Hanukkah time, and an Orthodox group of rabbis has put together a collection of photos of menorah lightings around the world.

Check out Chabad.org's website to find what Hanukkah looks like in Brussels, Belgium; Hebron, Israel; Temecula, Calif., and more.

On Sunday, Chabad rabbis lit the menorah in Washington, D.C. Hanukkah this year began on Saturday night and is an eight-day holiday commemorating the Jewish uprising over the Syrian Empire.

Organizers of the event say the menorah lighting helps spread the universal message of religious freedom.
