"Don't even think about it." That's what the California Highway Patrol officer said to Steve Jester, 46, moments before he took an 85-meter jump off the Bixby Bridge in Big Sur.
The Bixby Bridge is one of the most iconic spots along the California coastline and has been the base for BASE jumps in the past, but the one from earlier this month is causing a real buzz in Big Sur.
One of the reasons for the buzz is the fact that police say Jester was buzzed when he took the plunge.
That same CHP officer drove down a private road to the beach and arrested Jester on suspicion of resisting a police officer, driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, trespassing and possession of marijuana while driving.
Back to the job. It was spectacular. Jester does a flip before his shoot opens and lands safely on the beach below.
