Vallejo police released the identity of the 61-year old man struck and killed while crossing the street Friday.
Police said Sergio Pelayo was walking across the intersection of Tennessee and Halladay around 5:30 p.m. Friday when a car hit him.
While on the ground, a second car struck him. Pelayo was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
Both drivers remained at the scene and are cooperating with the police.
Police said it does not appear drugs, alcohol, nor speed were factors.
