A 21-year-old man arrested for alleged racist graffiti at the San Leandro Unified School District office is a self-described as a white supremacist, according to a criminal complaint obtained by NBC Bay Area.
The Alameda County District Attorney on Thursday charged Cody Austin Sisson with felony vandalism and a hate crime enhancement, for allegedly scrawling the F-word and the N-word on the doors of the school district office March. 5.
Officers arrested Sisson on Wednesday in the Porky's Pizza Parking Lot in San Leandro and said he was under the influence of drugs and admitted to painting rear office door of the district building on Juniper Street with red and white letters that used vulgarities, the numbers "666" and support for "WHITE POWER." The cost to replace the glass doors might cost $950, according to the police report.
Sisson was not immediately available for comment. But court documents indicate he told police he "hates Christianity and hates African-Americans." He said he believed the "white race is a superior race," the police report noted, and that he hoped the graffiti would "cause terror."
Sisson was place on three years probation in October 2015, following a petty theft conviction in Fremont.
