Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with four separate robberies near the Richmond BART Station.
Officers said the robberies all happened within a three-and-a-half hour time frame, starting just after 6:30 p.m. and ending just before 10 p.m. Monday. Police said in each case, the victim was walking alone when the suspect approached and assaulted the victims before taking their cellphones and money.
There were two male and two female victims. The incidents all happened in the 1300 block of Nevin Avenue.
The female victim, involved in the second robbery just after 7 p.m., was severely beaten and taken to the hospital for an injury to her eye. She is expected to be OK.
The stolen items include a backpack, a purse, cellphones, and money.
