A man who died when he crashed into a parked big-rig in Concord on Sunday night has been identified as Sergey Ryssev, 22, of Lafayette, according to the Contra Costa County coroner's office.
Police received a call at 11:06 p.m. reporting a crash on Port Chicago Highway near state Highway 4, police Lt. Jim Lardieri said.
Lardieri said it appears Ryssev crashed his BMW into the rear of a big-rig parked near the freeway overpass.
Officers arrived to find the BMW wedged under the back of the big-rig, Lardieri said. Ryssev was deceased inside.
The big-rig was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
