Santa Clara County sheriff's deputies have arrested a 35-year-old San Jose man who they say fatally stabbed another man during a quinceañera celebration in unincorporated Morgan Hill over the weekend.
Sgt. James Jensen said that deputies took Gonzalo Julio Morales into custody on Monday after he was found in a Mountain View home. His bloody jeans were found in a garbage can at the home, Jensen said. Detectives also found the knife thrown from a car that they said Morales used to allegedly kill Jacobo Rojos-Vilchis, 34, of Milpitas at a young girl's 15th birthday party on Saturday about 11:15 p.m. in the 600 block of San Bruno Avenue near Morgan Hill.
Rojos-Vilchis died at the scene.
Authorities did not provide a motive for the stabbing.
