A man was fatally stabbed in North San Jose Friday marking San Jose's 45th homicide of 2012.
Officer Albert Morales said that shortly before 3 a.m., officers were called out to the 1600 block of Oakland Road near the San Jose Municipal Golf Course, where they found the man suffering from at least one stab wound.
He was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:38 a.m., according to police.
The sister of a 28-year-old man who had stabbed in the stomach and taken to Regional Medical Center told NBC Bay Area that her brother was at a graduation party Thursday night when someone crashed the party and the stabbings occurred. It is unclear if her brother is the homicide victim. The sister said she wasn't being given information at the hospital about her brother's condition.
There are no suspects at this time.
San Jose's highest homicide count was in 1991, when there were 53 homicides. There were 40 homicides last year.
