Man Robbed of Camera Equipment at Twin Peaks in SF

A man taking photos from San Francisco's Twin Peaks was robbed at knifepoint on Saturday evening, according to police.

The robbery occurred around 5 p.m. in the 500 block of Twin Peaks Boulevard.

The 32-year-old victim was taking photos when two male suspects approached him from behind. One suspect pulled out a knife and demanded the man's bag that contained camera equipment, his cellphone and wallet, police said.

The victim handed over the bag to the suspects, believed to be men in their early to mid 20s, who fled and remain at large.

Police stepped up the presence of foot patrols in the Twin Peaks area following the robbery and fatal shooting in July of a man with a camera at the popular lookout point.

A man and woman were eventually arrested for the death of Edward French on July 16.
