Man Stabbed in Willow Glen Area of San Jose: Police

San Jose police responded to a call of a man stabbed in the Willow Glen area of San Jose on Thursday night, and the suspects were still at large, police said.

Officers arrived to a parking lot in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue about 9 p.m. and found a man in his 20s with at least one stab wound, police said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said. Witnesses said he was talking with paramedics before they placed him in an ambulance.

The parking lot where the stabbing occurred is surrounded by businesses on a busy city street. Witnesses told NBC Bay Area there was a fight just before the stabbing.

They said the victim was trying to walk away, but a small group of men wouldn't let him. They allegedly kicked and punched the victim, and apparently one of them had a knife and stabbed him.

Many people out in the area were shocked to see this type of crime.

"It's a bit unnerving," one witness said.

Crime scene investigators were at the scene late Thursday night, and the hunt for the suspects included a helicopter patrol overhead.

No suspects were identified or arrested, police said.
