A man was stabbed multiple times inside a Santa Rosa theater Wednesday while watching a movie, police said.
Santa Rosa police officers responded to the Roxy Theater complex about 4 p.m. on reports of a stabbing. Upon arriving at the scene, they found a 21-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Witnesses attended to the victim before paramedics arrived, police said. The man was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, a 23-year-old black man, fled the scene on foot but was later located by officers at the Prince Memorial Greenway and taken into custody.
It appears the stabbing was unprovoked and that the victim did not know the suspect, police said.
