A man was stabbed to death about midnight Friday in the parking lot of Tropicana Plaza in San Jose, police said.
The stabbing, the 18th this year, was reported in the the 1600 block of Story Road, and when police arrived, officers pronounced the man was dead.
"There is a killer at large and we are working diligently to apprehend that person," Sgt. Paul Joseph said early Friday morning.
