Missing Something? Call Los Gatos PD

The Los Gatos/Monte Sereno police departments are putting out the call to people who have had their vehicles broken into in recent weeks to give them a call.

They have arrested two suspects who they say stole everything from GPS units to laptops, passports, wallets and briefcases.  All of the loot was apparently taken from cars in the South Bay and police have recovered some of it.

A Los Gatos police officer on patrol early Sunday morning stopped two men who was walking in the area of Wedgewood and Lora Lane.  She found them with an arm full of GPS units.  Further search found several vehicles in the area had been broken into.  She also found lots more loot in one of the men's cars that was parked nearby.

The initial suspects have been identified as Holton Coverdale and Jackson Gile, both 18-year-old San Jose residents. Police say a third man, Raimonds Karklins, 18, was also involved in the string of car thefts.  Police found more stolen merchandise in his home in Campbell.

The suspects are not suspected of stealing anything in an attempt to steal identities.  They were apparently gathering the stuff to sell.

If you have had anything taken from a vehicle in Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Campbell or west San Jose you should contact Detective Eric Lunsford at 408-827-3209.
