More Than 200 Teens Cited for Partying at Vacant, Recently Sold El Dorado Hills House, Trashing It

Authorities busted a party over the weekend where more than 200 teenagers had trashed a vacant and recently sold home in the pricey town of El Dorado Hills.

NBC Bay Area's sister station KCRA reports Monday that El Dorado County sheriff's deputies arrived at the home Saturday night to find extensive damage. El Dorado Hills is about 22 miles east of Sacramento.

Officials said they found numerous holes in the walls, damaged electronic devices and other damage to the interior and exterior of the house.

The teens started scattering once deputies arrived, but officers were able to cite more than a dozen partygoers for criminal trespass and released them.

The damage was extensive enough to be considered felony vandalism.
