NAACP Warns Tourists About Florida in Wake of ‘Hostile' Laws

One of the nation's largest civil rights groups is now urging people of color to avoid traveling to Florida.

The NAACP issued a formal travel advisory accusing the state and its governor of fostering policies that are openly hostile to minorities and LGBTQ individuals.

People of color are being warned to stay away from Florida. The NAACP, one of the nation’s largest civil rights groups, issued a formal travel advisory Monday accusing Florida, and its governor, of embracing “hate inspired” policies. NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai spoke to Reverend Jethroe Moore, president of the Silicon Valley chapter of the NAACP, for some insight.
