Scantily-clad or in some cases bare-chested waitresses are a staple of some Vietnamese coffee shops in San Jose, and the strip-club-like atmosphere is angering the spouses of the coffee shops' loyal patrons, according to reports.

Patrons of the coffee shops sip lattes and munch on snacks delivered to them by lingerie- or bikini-clad women. Once the drinks are served, the women dance on tables or otherwise titillate their caffeinated charges, according to reports.

What the coffee shops are doing appears to be fully legal, according to reports. The only police involvement would be if the coffee shops were engaging in human trafficking or allowing underage girls to work as dancers/baristas, according to police.

The skinful coffee shops are nothing new, according to a San Jose City councilwoman. What is new is more coffee shops allowing more women to show more skin in an effort to attract more business: a sort of flesh race.

San Jose city officials are mulling ways to get the coffee shops to tone it down, according to reports. But for now, patrons can get their grind on.
