Petaluma Shelter in Place Lifted Early Morning Wednesday

Police declined numerous attempts to offer details on why people had been ordered to shelter in place.

A shelter-in-place order has been lifted for some Petaluma residents early Wednesday morning, according to police.

The order was lifted at 1:26 a.m. for residents in the area of Cardinal Way and Noriel and Turtle Creek lanes. It was announced at 9:13 p.m. Tuesday.

Police declined numerous attempts to offer details on why people had been ordered to shelter in place.
