Oakland A's are Building New Party Deck at Coliseum

The Oakland A's announced Wednesday that they're building a party deck above the Coliseum's left field bleachers in time for the 2018 baseball season.

The A's said the 10,000-square-foot deck, which is called The Treehouse, will be open to all fans and will feature two full-service bars, standing-room and lounge seating, numerous televisions and entertainment before games.

The baseball team said the deck will include three unique spaces: a redwood patio deck with a bar and lounge seating; an interior space at the north end of the Eastside Club that that has a renovated bar, a living wall, televisions, and lounge seating options; and a redwood deck with drink rails and views of the field.

"We are committed to enhancing the fan experience at the Coliseum and delivering dynamic and new ways to enjoy A's baseball," Oakland A's president Dave Kaval said in a statement.

"The Treehouse will provide fans a place to gather, watch our games and connect in an environment that is casual, fun and authentically Oakland," Kaval said.

The A's said a DJ will be featured in The Treehouse during Friday night games and NBC Sports California will host its pre- and post-game shows from The Treehouse on select games as well as their Authentic Fan Friday events.

The team said the A's Radio network will also be broadcasting a live, 30-minute pre-game show from the space for all home games.

The Treehouse bar will reopen and feature post-game entertainment and music after select games.

The A's said The Treehouse will be able to accommodate more than 1,000 fans and fans won't need a special ticket to access the area.

The team said there are no assigned seats in the area and standing room, lounge seating and general admission seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
