Oakland police pursued a robbery suspect through city streets on Friday morning after a convenience store was robbed on the 500 block of International Boulevard at 2:15 a.m.
Police officers spotted the suspect car used in the robbery near Lake Merritt around 9 a.m. and pursued it. When officers spotted the vehicle it had a flat tire. The pursuit stopped at Lake Merritt Avenue just east of east 12th street.
The suspect fled on foot and ran towards the lake. Police later found the suspect hiding under a walkway and arrested him.
