A woman was murdered near Oakland's Lake Merritt Saturday morning, a police officer said.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Park Boulevard and Third Avenue around 7 a.m., where the victim was located, according to Oakland police Officer K. Templeman.
Templeman said he did not know how the woman was killed or any further details of the crime.
No arrests have been made, and an investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
