Occupy SF Ponders Next Move

After camping cleared out, Occupy SF ponders next step.

Wait til spring, or start the American Spring in winter?

The next move for Occupy San Francisco following the protest group's eviction from its Justin Herman Plaza tent city is up in the air at the moment, with a fractured movement agreeing on little more than uncertainty on what to do next, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

About 30 or 40 protesters gathered in front of the Federal Reserve building at 101 Market Street to discuss what to do next, according to the paper. There's a real fear among the movement that it could be at the risk of dissipating, the newspaper reported.

Some activists recommended the group wait until springtime. Others recommended pitching more tents now. A few tents were pitched in protest, but the campers removed them by midnight under the watchful eye of police.

The spirit was "subdued" Thursday in comparison to the raucous crowd that sparred with police on Wednesday night, the newspaper said.
