Off-Duty San Francisco Police Officer Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in I-880 Motorcycle Crash

An off-duty officer with the San Francisco Police Department suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash Thursday morning on a highway in Oakland.

The crash happened at 5:39 a.m. on northbound Interstate 880 at Seventh Street, according to police.

The officer was transported to a hospital. No one else was injured in the crash and no arrests have been made.

Police said there were no unusual circumstances involved in the crash.
