One Dead in Highway 101 Motorcycle Collision

One person died in a collision involving a motorcycle along northbound U.S. Highway 101 in South San Jose early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision was reported around 2:05 a.m. on Highway 101 at Bailey Road, CHP officials said.

A motorcycle reportedly collided with a vehicle. The motorcycle was then struck by another vehicle, according to the CHP.

A Sig-alert has been issued, with at least three northbound lanes closed.

Information about the decedent was not immediately available.
