San Mateo County Fire Department crews are at the scene of a two-alarm house fire in Moss Beach early Tuesday morning that injured one adult.
Two parents, their adult son and two dogs were inside the house, and the father suffered from burn injuries in the blaze that was reported at 2:55 a.m. in the 200 block of Lancaster Boulevard, fire officials said. The extent of the burn was unknown.
"The burn victim was going to be airlifted to Valley Med but the chopper couldn’t land in Half Moon Bay because of the foggy conditions so they had to transport him by ambulance to a San Francisco hospital for treatment," said Ken Lord of Coastside Fire.
No one else was injured, according to the fire department.
The house is a total loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to San Mateo fire officials.
