Oracle's Larry Ellison Purchases Luxury Palo Alto Hotel for $71.6M

The Bay Area's newest luxury hotelier is a familiar name in the tech world.

Oracle CTO Larry Ellison has purchased Palo Alto's year-old, 86 room Epiphany Hotel from Angelo, Gordon & Co. for $71.6 million, according to Silicon Valley Business Journal.

A Joie De Vivre Hotel representative told the publication that the company will continue to operate the hotel as it has for the past year.

SFGate noted his ownership in a Malibu hotel as well as two Four Seasons properties and a lodge, all in Hawaii. He also owns the majority of the Hawaiian island of Lanai.
