Outside Lands Adds ‘Forest Feast' Dining Option

Outside Lands has paired up with a San Francisco prix fixe restaurant to create a multi-course seated dining experience within the festival.

Chef Jason Halverson from Trestle, known for serving an affordable and high-quality three-course nightly dinner in the city, is at the helm of the new luxe "Forest Feast" experience, essentially a pop-up restaurant inside the larger party.

Guests will sip champagne, take in a magician's performance and a live New Orleans style brass band during a four-course meal in a tree-lined private area overlooking the Polo Field, where the festival's main stage is located.

Reservations ($175 per person) are limited to 48 Outside Lands ticketholders only at each of two seatings per day — so it's quite limited, considering over 65,000 people are estimated to attend each of the three days.

The option joins an extensive array of food and drink options at the festival that include 80 local restaurants and vendors offering creative and portable bites, a "Gastro Magic" stage for culinary music mashups and dedicated theme "Lands" for cheese, chocolate, beer and wine. Also new this year is Outside Clams, seafood area helmed by Woodhouse Fish Co. that organizers describe as a "comprehensive crustacean experience."
