The owner of an autographed motorized scooter from San Francisco's Make-A-Wish office that once belonged to Giants outfielder Hunter Pence said Thursday how happy she was that it had been found.
Michelle, who did not want to give her last name, spoke at AT&T Park just ahead of the Giants home opener against the Dodgers, at a news conference. She said her mother got the scooter for her and she's very happy that police helped to get it back.
Three men were arrested this week on suspicion of breaking into the foundation, which grants wishes to dying children, and taking the scooter and other goods with them. The scooter was found Monday.
"It feels wonderful to have it back," she said. "I'm going to keep it under lock and key."
