Palo Alto police are trying to identify four men they say beat another man unconsious early Wednesday morning right outside a Mardi Gras celebration.
Police Agent Dan Ryan says the four suspects were harassing a few women outside The Old Pro when the victim tried to intervene.
That is when the scene got out of hand and the suspects kicked, punched and knocked the victim to the ground.
Police say the 31-year-old victim was only trying to help and instead was left unconscious with a broken nose.
The four suspects, who had been drinking, left the scene and have not been arrested.
Police say they have a license plate number and are working to identify those four men.
