Palo Alto Police Seek Suspect Who Allgedly Exposed Himself to 10-Year-Old Girls

Police are seeking a man who allegedly exposed himself to two 10-year-old girls as they walked on a Palo Alto street Friday afternoon.

Around 3:15 p.m., police received a call regarding an indecent exposure incident that had just occurred near the intersection of Ross Road and Ames Avenue, according to police.

When officers responded to the area, they could not located the suspect.

After an investigation, officers learned the two girls were walking home from school on Ames Avenue, just west Ross Road, police said.

The girls passed by a navy blue Honda Fit that was parked along the street and happened to look inside. Inside, they saw a man in the driver's seat with no pants on, according to police.

The man looked up and made eye contact with the girls through the closed window. The suspect never said anything to the girls, nor did he gesture to them or ask them to come closer to his vehicle, police said.

The girls then ran away to the home of one of the girls and told a parent, who immediately called police.

The suspect is in his 30s, has short, straight brown hair and a medium build, and was wearing a red T-shirt, according to police.

This incident is the third involving adults disturbing children in the city since the school year began. Detectives are working to see if this case is connected to the other incidents, according to police.

Patrol officers, as well as unmarked cars, have been monitoring common school commute routes used by students, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police at (650) 329-2413. Anonymous tips can be emailed to or sent by text message or voicemail to (650) 383-8984.
