Pedestrian Killed, Another Injured in Oakland Hit-and-Run Collision

A vehicle struck two male pedestrians in Oakland Friday afternoon in a hit-and-run collision, killing one, according to police.

The collision occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. at 32nd Street and San Pablo Avenue, according to Lt. Chris Bolton.

One pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and a second was taken was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not expected to be life threatening, Bolton said.

Police spent Friday canvassing the area and looking for witnesses to the collision, Bolton said.
