Trader Joe's employees on the peninsula were forced to lie face down on the ground and give up the store's cash to two armed robbers on Saturday night, Menlo Park Police said.

Masked robbers broke in the Trader Joe's, which is located on the 700 block of Menlo Avenue in Menlo Park, around 9:15 p.m. after the establishment had closed, ordered the employees to surrender an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the scene, police said.

The first suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white sweatpants and a white face mask. The second suspect was also wearing a white face mask along with a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, police said.
