Two protesters were arrested for assaulting a California Highway Patrol officer on southbound Highway 101 in the Peninsula Thursday.
Investigators say it happened on University Avenue in Palo Alto after a handful of protesters got on the freeway.
The nature of the assault on the officer is unknown but the CHP says he was not injured.
