Person Dies on BART Tracks at Civic Center Station

A person has died on the BART tracks at the Civic Center station in San Francisco this morning, a BART spokesman said Thursday.

The person was reported under the train at 10:08 a.m. on the Daly City line. The station is closed until further notice, BART spokesman Taylor Huckaby said.

BART is running trains through the station without stopping and passengers can expect delays of up to 40 minutes, Huckaby said.

Huckaby said BART officials are encouraging passengers to use San Francisco Municipal Railway, which is offering mutual aid.
