A driver was shot and suffered injuries not considered life-threatening Friday afternoon in Monte Sereno, police said.
Someone called police at 1:33 p.m. to report a suspicious circumstance in the area of Saratoga Los Gatos Road and Daves Avenue.
Officers and Santa Clara County sheriff's deputies responded and found a person suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim told law enforcement that he was driving west on Saratoga Los Gatos Road when someone shot him. The victim didn't know who the shooter was, police said.
According to police, the victim was taken to a hospital. Police said the public is not at risk since they believe it was an isolated event.
