A person was struck and killed by a Muni train at the Powell station in San Francisco this afternoon, according to a fire lieutenant.
The collision was reported around 2:40 p.m. at the Powell Muni station, San Francisco fire Lt. Robert Lopez said.
Emergency responders arrived at the station to find a person on the train tracks who had been struck by an outbound train, he said.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
