A 44-year-old Lakeport resident was arrested Friday on suspicion of robbing a Petaluma bank two days earlier, police said.
On Wednesday, Juan Jose Flores Jr. allegedly entered the Bank of America at 181 N. McDowell Blvd. at 4:43 p.m. and passed a note demanding money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, according to aPetaluma police news release.
After sharing surveillance photos with the public, police said they received several anonymous tips within hours identifying Flores Jr. as a potential suspect. With assistance from Lake County sheriff's deputies, police arrested Flores Jr. at his Lakeport residence early Friday morning and booked him into Sonoma County Jail.
