A driver pulled over in Palo Alto with three women in the car last week turned out to be a suspected pimp who was in a car filled with stolen mail and personal information, police said Wednesday.
Officers saw the man speeding in a silver 2002 Honda Accord south on El Camino Real at about 1 a.m. last Thursday.
When he pulled into a business in the 2200 block of El Camino Real, the officers moved in.
Police determined the man was unlicensed and one of the three women in the car was on probation for possession of drugs.
They searched the car and the four occupants, finding stolen mail with victims' personal identification like bank statements, stolen medication and other drugs.
They also concluded the man was a suspected pimp and at least one of the women in the car was his victim, police said.
The driver was identified as Benny Edward Hernandez, 21. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of pimping and identity theft.
One passenger was identified as 36-year-old Terri Ann Tollner. She was booked into jail on suspicion of possession of morphine and prescription medication and possession of stolen property.

Another passenger, identified as 20-year-old Kristina Victoria Fidecaro, was arrested on suspicion of possession of heroin and an outstanding warrant for driving without a license.
The fourth passenger, a woman in her 30s, was a victim of the man's alleged pimping, police said.
The prescription medication found had been stolen from a car in San Jose and the mail had been stolen from at least 25 residences or businesses in San Jose, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, and Santa Clara.
