Police Detain Attempted Homicide Suspect After Pursuit, Crash

A suspect wanted in connection with an attempted homicide was detained Tuesday afternoon after a vehicle pursuit in San Francisco, police said.

The vehicle was spotted at 12:54 p.m. by Gang Task Force officers patrolling the area of Eddy and Laguna streets in the city's Western Addition neighborhood.

The suspect attempted to evade officers and got involved in a crash at the intersection of Eighth and Folsom streets.

Officers detained the suspect at Ninth and Ringold streets. Investigators are processing the scene with an expected traffic opening by 2:40 p.m., San Francisco police said on Twitter.
