Police Looking for Man Who Exposed Himself While Kids Played at Palo Alto Park

Police are attempting to locate a man who exposed his genitals in a Palo Alto park where children were playing Friday evening.

Police said two women were at Seale Park at 3100 Stockton Place around 5 p.m. when they saw a man walk into the park with his penis exposed through the open zipper of his pants.

The man walked into the playground area without saying anything or attempting to make contact with either of the women or their children, police said.

He then hopped over a two-foot fence surrounding the playground and was last seen walking south on Stockton Place.

"I think its strange it’s a little disturbing because moms and kids come to the park," neighbor Jenny Munroe said.

"Somebody behaving like that it’s not really socially acceptable, but its surprising because it's just a little neighborhood park but people with strange behaviors can be anywhere pretty much," she added.

The man is described as a black man estimated to be around 45 years old, about 6 feet tall and weighing roughly 170 pounds with a thin build, according to police. Police said the man was wearing a baseball cap, blue jean jacket, and white pants.

Police have released an image of the suspect captured on a neighbor's surveillance camera as he left the park.

Neighbors said the unsettling incident will make them keep a closer watch.

"I keep an eye on my neighborhood because I live here, and when I notice something odd, I do call the police because they need to know about it," neighbor Mickey Suen said.

Officers are increasing patrols in the area as a precaution but police are not aware of any similar incidents reported recently in Palo Alto.

On Saturday evening, police released this sketch of the suspect.
