No Homicides in San Pablo For First Time in Three Decades

Police in one East Bay city said 2013 was one of their safest years ever.

For the first time in 27 years, there was not a single homicide in the City of San Pablo.

Officials said there was a significant drop in other crime as well.

Reported rapes dropped by 57 percent, robberies by 30 percent, and assaults also fell by 19 percent.

Police credit engaging the community and pro-active policing.
