Caught on Camera: Passenger Attacks Cab Driver in Daly City

The Daly City Police Department has released video footage to help identify a passenger who attacked a 60-year-old cab driver last week.

The suspect — shown in the video wearing a long light colored dress shirt, pink tie and gray dress slacks — got in a cab in downtown San Francisco on Feb. 15 at 12:30 a.m.

The man asked the cab driver to drive him to Geneva Avenue and Pueblo Street in Daly City. When the taxi got to the destination, the suspect refused to pay. When confronted by the cab driver, the man punched and kicked him several times and then fled.

The driver had to go to a hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Police describe the suspect as a 25- to 35 years old, 6’ tall, 230 pounds with dark brown hair.

Anyone with information on the suspect can contact the Daly City Police Department Investigations Division at 650-991-8171 or Detective Joe Bocci at (650) -222-9591.
