Police Search For Suspect in Shooting Near San Francisco State

Officers late Monday responded to reports of a shooting near the campus of San Francisco State University, and a suspect was still at-large, according to San Francisco police.

The shooting occurred just after 7 p.m. on Serrano Drive, near the campus library, police said. When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The suspect, in his 20s, was at the scene and fled and was still on the loose, police said. They believe they know who he is.

The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police closed down the street and asked the public to avoid the area.
