Woman Stabbed Near Downtown San Jose; Suspect Arrested

A woman was taken to a hospital after being stabbed in San Jose Tuesday morning and a suspect has been arrested in the case, according to police.

The stabbing happened at 9:25 a.m. in the 600 block of South Second Street, according to police.

Officers found a woman with at least one stab wound and she was taken to the hospital, but is expected to survive.

A man was arrested at the scene and will be booked into Santa Clara County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon. Police said the victim knew the man who allegedly stabbed her.

The suspect's identity has not been released yet.
